ZAR Wellness provides counselling services for participants that are either
Self-Managed or Plan-Managed NDIS funding.
At this time we do not provide services for NDIA-Managed funding.
About the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?
The National Insurance Disability Scheme (NDIS) is an initiative operated by the National Insurance Disability Agency (NDIA). The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is designed to support people with disability to increase their independence and fully participate in community and working life.
The NDIS aims to ensure that all of those whom are suffering from a disability have the supports necessary to realize their full potential. For counsellors, this means there is an opportunity to provide assistance to those who would not normally have access to counsellors.
With NDIS funding, participants can now receiving individualised funding which allows them to chose which organisation they would like to have support them to achieve their goals.

Accessing counselling through the NDIS will ensure that you receive the support that is best tailored for your needs whilst the quality of the service isn’t compromised.
As you receive individualised funding through the NDIS according to your assessed needs, the financial side of things will be taken care of through the scheme and you can fully concentrate on working towards your goals.
How Much do Our Counselling Services Cost?
For counselling to be funded through NDIS, you will need “Improved Daily Living” identified as a goal in your plan. Counselling is a capacity-building support and Improved Daily Living will provide you with the funding which you can use to access supports from a variety of allied health professionals, including from a counsellor.
ZAR Wellness counselling service fees are in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide.
NDIS Counselling Support
Common NDIS funding items include:

Improved Daily Living Skills - Individual counselling – Facilitating self-knowledge, growth and personal goals (NDIS item 15_043_0128_1_3)

Individual Assessment, Therapy and/or Training (NDIS item 15_048_0128_1_3)

In some specific circumstances we may provide item “Behaviour management plan, training in behaviour management strategies (NDIS item 11_023_0110_7_3)”. Please discuss your circumstances before the appointment to confirm that we can assist.

The NDIA has established a price guide which all service providers are required to follow.
As mentioned above, the fees charged by ZAR Wellness are in accordance with the NDIA price guide for providers.
Understanding the NDIS price guide is important as are NDIS payment rates. This NDIS pricing guide should give you a better idea about how much different services cost all and is broken down into separate sections.
What Does The NDIS Price Guide List Out?
The Price List contains the price limits, support categories, descriptions and line item numbers to help clearly identify what is claimable. It covers Therapeutic Support, Support Coordination and Accommodation.
